DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF A 1.5KVA STABILIZER
ABSTRACT
An AC Automatic voltage stabilizer is designed to automatically maintain a constant AC voltage level. It makes use an electromechanical mechanism, and other electronic components. Depending on the design, it may be used to regulate one or more AC voltages.
This project contains the design and construction of 1KVA Automatic Voltage Regulator with input voltage range of 100 - 260V, which is to ensure that voltage at the consumer terminal, is kept within the statutory limit during abnormal voltage conditions (i.e. over-voltages and under-voltages).The design and construction consists of electronic control circuit relays and auto-transformer with input and output display. The basic design principle of operation is that the multi tap autotransformer will, at least, have one tap falls within the specified input range and an electronic control circuit senses and monitors the input voltage level and switches the appropriate relay to select the correct tap for the output. The assembling and application are also treated.
The aim of this work is to design and construct a 1KVA automatic voltage stabilizer.
