This work is titled design and construction of a Mobile phone call indicator. Mobile phone call indicator is a device that flashes an LED when it detects an incoming call.
Mobile phone call indicator can be used to escape from the nuisance of mobile phone rings when you are at home. This circuit will give a visual indication if placed near a mobile phone even if the ringer is deactivated. This circuit was designed to detect when a call is incoming in a cellular phone (even when the calling tone of the device is switched-off) by means of a flashing LED. The device must be placed a few centimeters from the cellular phone, so its sensor coil L1 can detect the field emitted by the phone receiver during an incoming call.
CHAPTER ONE
1.1 INTRODUCTION
This project is designed to help escape from nuisance of incoming call at home, offices and during conferences. The circuit is designed to give a visual indication if placed near a mobile phone even if the ringer is deactivated.
When a call is coming to the mobile phone, the transmitter inside it becomes activated. The frequency of the transmitter is around 900MHZ. The coil picks up these oscillations by induction and feds it to the base of the transistor. This make the transistor activated. Since the collector of transistor is connected to the pin 2 NE555, the IC1 is triggered to make the LED connected at its output pin to blink. The blinking of the LED is the indication of incoming call. The circuit must be powered by a 6V battery.
1.2 OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT
The objective of this project is to design a device that will detect when a call is incoming in a cellular phone
1.3 SIGNIFICANCE OF THE PROJECT
This circuit was designed to detect when a call is incoming in a cellular phone (even when the calling tone of the device is switched-off) by means of a flashing LED.
This handy, pocket-size mobile incoming call detector or sniffer can sense the presence of an activated mobile cell phone from a distance of one and-a-half meters. So it can be used to prevent use of mobile phones in examination halls, confidential rooms, etc. It is also useful for detecting the use of mobile phone for Spying and unauthorized video transmission. The circuit can detect the incoming and outgoing calls, SMS and video transmission even if the mobile phone is kept in the silent mode.
1.4 SCOPE OF THE PROJECT
The system was built using a 555 timer IC, coil, pickup antenna and so many other electronics components. The most important part of the circuit is a 130-150 turn coil, which acts as a pick-up antenna for a signal that is emitted by your mobile phone whenever it has an incoming coil. The signal induced in this coil/inductor is amplified through a transistor, which is then used to drive a monostable 555 Timer. The output voltage of the IC is used to drive a ultra-bright LED.
1.5 LIMITATION OF THE PROJECT
This project operates with battery, which means that the system will stop working whenever the battery runs down.
1.6 PROJECT WORK ORGANISATION
The various stages involved in the development of this project have been properly put into five chapters to enhance comprehensive and concise reading. In this project thesis, the project is organized sequentially as follows:
Chapter one of this work is on the introduction to mobile phone indicator. In this chapter, the background, significance, objective limitation and problem of a mobile phone indicator discussed.
Chapter two is on literature review of a mobile phone indicator. In this chapter, all the literature pertaining to this work was reviewed.
Chapter three is on design methodology. In this chapter all the method involved during the design and construction were discussed.
Chapter four is on testing analysis. All testing that result accurate functionality was analyzed.
Chapter five is on conclusion, recommendation and references.
This material is a complete and well researched project material strictly for academic purposes, which has been approved by different Lecturers from different higher institutions. We make abstract and chapter one visible for everyone.
All Project Topics on this site have complete 5(five) Chapters . Each Project Material include: Abstract + Introduction + etc + Literature Review + methodology + etc + Conclusion + Recommendation + References/Bibliography.
