DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF A REMOTE MONITORING SYSTEM CONTROL SYSTEM WITH AUTOMATIC IGNITION SYSTEM USING GSM BLUETOOTH
CHAPTER ONE
1.1 INTRODUCTION
Nowadays, vehicle thefts are on the rise, and therefore, demand urgent security measures to ensure proper security to vehicles and other transportation systems. If this proposed system is installed in the vehicle that someone tries to steal, then this system prompts and sends information to the owner of the vehicle through SMS using GSM technology. An added advantage of this system is that the owner can send back another SMS which can disable the ignition of the vehicle.
This project uses a PIC16F series microcontroller and a rectified power supply. A GSM modem is interfaced to the microcontroller with the help of a MAX-232 device for communication with the vehicle. A relay is controlled by a relay-driver IC, which is connected to the microcontroller. In this system, a lamp is connected to the relay contracts to mains supply instead of an engine – for indication purposes.
If a person tries to steal a vehicle in which this system is installed, then the system circuitry generates an interrupt, which is sent to a preprogrammed microcontroller. The microcontroller sends the stolen information to the owner by SMS through a GSM modem. When the owner sends back the SMS to the GSM modem with the message reading as ‘stop the engine,’ the system stops the vehicle by disabling the ignition. The microcontroller gives control instructions to the relay driver to trip the relay that disconnects the lamp.
This project in future can be enhanced by integrating a GPS system, which will give exact position of the vehicle in terms of its latitude and longitude values.
1.2 OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT
The main intention of this project is to find out the exact location of the stolen vehicle by thefts and inform to the concerned authority through an SMS. This GSM based vehicle theft control system retrieves the exact location of a vehicle in terms of its longitude and latitude. This data is fed to the microcontroller, that is interfaced to a GSM modem.
1.3 SCOPE OF THE PROJECT
The main scope of this project is to develop a wireless technology based vehicle theft information system to provide security to vehicles from theft.
1.4 APPLICATIONS OF THE PROJECT
Applications of Android mobile based Security lock for Bike ignition:
1) This project can be used in Bikes, Cars and vehicles.
1.5 SIGNIFICANCE OF THE PROJECT
If a person tries to steal a vehicle in which this system is installed, then the system circuitry generates an interrupt, which is sent to a preprogrammed microcontroller. The microcontroller sends the stolen information to the owner by SMS through a GSM modem. This project is easy to use.
