This page contains seminar topics/write-up for AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE / ENGINEERING department. Hyclassproject's aim of providing all these research materials is to reduce the stress of moving from one school library to another all in the name of searching for seminar topics and materials. We are not encouraging any form of PLAGIARISM. This service is legal because, all institutions permit their students to read previous projects, books, articles or papers while developing their own works. According to Austin Kleon "All creative work builds on what came before", and according to Bishop Dr. David Oyedepo "You cannot be a Reference without having References".

THE CONDITIONS AND EARNING OF AGRICULTURAL VILLAGERS/ VILLAGES PRACTISING IRRIGATION ALONG RIVER NGADA MAIDUGURI BORNO STATE: Borno state is endowed with three major resources (Land, Water and Human Labor), an opportunity for intensive agriculture such as irrigation farming. Although small-scale irrigation provides wider benefits for the livelihood improvement of rural farm households, some of them owned irrigation while others not yet, due to different reasons. This irrigation ownership difference leads to household income disparity. To this end, this paper is aimed to analyze the effect of small-scale irrigation on households’ income. A two-stage sampling procedure was used to first select peasant associations and then sample respondents. Descriptive statistics and Heckman’s two-stage estimation were used to estimate the effects of small-scale irrigation on households’ income. The results of the study indicated that in addition to land and livestock, access and utilization to working capital is determinant for irrigation utilization decision that leads to better income. Irrigation users comparatively participate in social positions and owned comfortable residence homes than non-users. Formation of self-help cooperatives and saving-credit associations in rural areas bridges producers with their clientele solving the working capital deficiencies

002]. MEASURING POWER QUALITY OF A SYSTEM :Electrical energy is a traded commodity that is becoming more important every day; there is increasing demand for continuous access to power (supply quality) and disturbance free power (power quality). Today’s power environments cover renewable energy production as well as continuously increasing electrical demand within the home and industrial sectors. This increases the requirement for continuous and reliable monitoring of the power consumed. Each disturbance that occurs reduces the quality of delivery and power and thereby gives an increased cost. Energy optimization covers both checks of energy volume as well as a connection to energy losses and their cause. Supplementing energy measurement with power quality measurement gives the information to display the cause of energy losses. Then a decision for the most cost efficient action can be made.  power quality gives you the foundation to optimize your power and transmission network and make cost savings

003]. DESIGN OF CAPACITIVE SOIL MOISTURE SENSOR : There are techniques available for the determination of soil moisture content as a tension or a volume is offered. The method of determining soil moisture content by the different techniques is described with attention given to the neutron probe (NP), time-domain reflectometry (TDR) and frequency domain (Capacitance) techniques in particular. The choice of instrumentation for soil moisture determination will depend on the consideration of factors such as: physical limitations of different techniques; the level of information required (either an absolute or relative moisture measurement); the amount of data needed to objectively decide upon an irrigation regime (with consideration to spatial and temporal problems); the initial cost of the instrument and sampling; the reliability of the instrument and the collected data; and, the ease of use of the instrument in the field. However, this work focuses on capacitive sensor in particular
